Neste vídeo apresentamos a sede física do LABxS, o Lab Santista, o laboratório cidadão que está sendo implementado pelo Instituto Procomum e que articula uma rede de pessoas, iniciativas e infraestruturas para promover os bens comuns na região da Baixada Santista. Em agosto de 2017, o Instituto Procomum celebrou com a Associação Prato de Sopa Monsenhor Moreira um acordo de comodato que envolve a cessão por cinco anos do imóvel na rua Sete de Setembro, centro da cidade Santos, no Estado de São Paulo, Brasil.

São mais de 1200 metros quadrados, distribuídos em inúmeras salas e galpões, que passarão a ser utilizados para dinamizar a inovação cidadã, a cultura livre e a as atividades comuneiras da região. A idéia é ter oficinas, cursos livres, celebrações, residências juntando várias áreas do conhecimento e ser um espaço de encontro, experimentação e compartilhamento de formas de se viver juntxs.

Nosso chamado é para que você venha construir junto conosco essa história;
se você é um arquiteta ou urbanista ou apenas gostaria de mandar ideias de intervenção para que o espaço traduza ética e esteticamente o espírito de um centro cultural voltado para o comum;

In this video we present the headquarters of LABxS, Lab Santista, the citizen laboratory that is being implemented by the Procomum Institute and that articulates a network of people, initiatives and infrastructures to promote the commons in the Baixada Santista region. In August 2017, the Procomum Institute celebrated with the Associação Prato de Sopa Monsenhor Moreira a lending agreement involving the five-year lease of the property at Sete de Setembro street, in the city center of Santos, in the State of São Paulo, Brazil.

The space has more than 1200 square meters, distributed in numerous rooms and sheds, which will be used to stimulate citizen innovation, free culture and communal activities in the region. The idea is to host and promote workshops, free courses, celebrations and residences joining various areas of knowledge and be a space for meetings, experiments, collaboration and sharing ways of living together.

The occupation of the space is gradually taking place; will happen in stages and modules and in a collaborative way with the people living in the surrounding neighborhoods, with the LAB networks and our partners from other cities and countries. The idea is to have a strategic plan for the space by the end of 2017 for the use of the property and a technical project of reform that is slowly starting already.
